MYSORE

Ashtanga yoga Mysore is a self-practice method. In a Mysore class, there is no unified instruction from the teacher. Everyone practices independently on their own mat following a fixed sequence. The teacher will patrol around and provide precise assistance and guidance based on your current physical condition.

What's special about the Mysore class?

You are completely focused on your own breathing and physical sensations, rather than the progress of others. This process of inward exploration can greatly enhance your concentration.

It encourages you to develop a regular practice habit, while also inspiring each other in the collective energy field, so you won't feel lonely.

Can beginners take Mysore classes?

Sure, but it is recommended to start with the "Led Class". In a Led Class, the teacher gives instructions and everyone practices in unison, which can help you familiarize yourself with the fixed sequence of asanas and breathing rhythm in Ashtanga. Once you can remember the sequence of the Sun Salutations and standing poses, you can enter the Mysore class and better enjoy the pleasure of self-practice.
